Rakesh Ranjan, MD
Psychiatrist, Founder and CEO
Dr. Ranjan received his initial training in psychiatry as a resident (1989-1993) at Akron General Medical Center (Affiliated with Northeast Ohio Medical University — NEOMED) and as a research fellow (1993-1994) in psychopharmacology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio (CWRU). Thereafter he served as the Medical Director of the world renowned Psychobiology Clinic (founded by an eminent psychopharmacologist, Dr. Herbert Y. Meltzer who closely mentored Dr. Ranjan throughout his stay at CWRU). It’s worthy to mention that The Psychobiology Clinic was featured in numerous local and national television/radio shows as well as in Time Magazine as a cover story.
Lisa Dyer, LISW-S, SAP
Clinical Director
Lisa earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University. She has been in the behavioral health field for more than twenty years with experience providing clinical services to those in need. In addition to her clinical work she has extensive experience providing clinical and administrative/operational leadership. She continues to be driven by her passion to help others.

Shalini graduated from the Physician’s Assistant program at Cleveland State University in 2017. She came to the United States over 16 years ago after marrying her current husband. They have lived here in Ohio for over 10 years after moving from Michigan and have one beautiful daughter together as well as a furry child named Tuffy. Shalini is dedicated to the wellness of her patient’s here at Charak, by providing a systematic and empathetic approach to mental health.
Robert Brauer, DO
Psychiatrist
Dr. Brauer brings over 17 years of experience working with a culturally and economically diverse population in a variety of settings. A native of Northeast Ohio, he received his psychiatry training at the Adult Psychiatry Residency program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, serving as Chief Resident. He has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient care; private practice, community mental health centers; and psychiatric emergency departments in Northeast Ohio. During his career, he has had an exceptional background in psychopharmacology with a keen interest in new treatment modalities including TMS, Spravato, MAT, and clinical trials of novel psychotropic drugs.

Yelena received Bachelor of Science at Baldwin Wallace University. Completed Masters of Health Science through Cleveland State University/ Cuyahoga Community College Physician Assistant program and is fluent in the Ukrainian language.

Joe is an Ohio native who enjoys practicing medicine in the areas of addiction and mental health. He received a B.S. degree from Cleveland State University majoring in both Chemistry and Biology, and a master's degree from Nebraska Medical College. In 1994, Joe received his certification as a Physician's Assistant, and has has been helping to make the world a better place one person at a time.

Dr. Aditi Sheth, MD is a board certified child & adolescent psychiatrist. She graduated with honors from Berhampur University / Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College medical school in 2000. With more than 21 years of diverse experience in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Sheth has considerable expertise with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Nicole obtained her Baccalaureate degree in Psychology from Ashland University in 1995. She was a Social Worker/Case Manager for over 13 years. Nicole then began her second career as an LPN, working her way up in becoming a dual board certified nurse practitioner, family and psychiatric mental health, from schools Purdue University and Ursuline College. Nicole is a wife of 21.5 years, mother of 4, and grandmother.

Nurse Practitioner
Angalesia Rucker, an ursuline college alumna, brings over 15 years of clinical experience, her professional career has included staff registered nurse, patient care coordinator, administrative and supervisory roles, and nurse practitioner.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing/Adult Certified Nurse Practitioner from Ursuline College. Later, Angel continued her education to obtain specialized training and education from Ursuline College as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Education of patients, families, and medical staff has been a constant thread throughout Angalesia’s career. Her passion for education has carried over into her commitment to education of patients and families with mental health diagnosis. Angalesia is committed to several professional organizations, such as American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She also served on the board of directors for Community Shares, an organization that focuses on social justice.
Marie Thompson, NP
Nurse Practitioner
Marie completed her undergraduate, masters, and post-masters degree at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Marie has over eleven years of nursing experience in various settings including: medical-surgical, orthopedics, trauma, oncology, geriatrics, family practice and psychiatry.

Kaleena began her nursing career in 2007 after graduating from the Central School of Practical Nursing. In 2012, she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her nursing journey she has held a variety of positions and has met many other bright, talented professionals along the way. She has always been interested in Holistic health, mental health, wellness, and fitness; and how these areas all intertwine to make a person happy and healthy. She is primarily in the Medina office.

Amanda has been working in mental health for the past 8 years. She is currently working at the Elyria office as mainly the Suboxone Nurse but she does see some mental health clients as well.

Debbie is the addiction nurse in Elyria. Before coming to Charak, she worked with the MRDD population for 5 years. Her office extension is 1007.

Laura has been working for Charak for six years. She is currently working at the Garfield office as a Medical Assistant, bus she also assist with our Medical Records Department.
